Early life

Tyson Luke Fury was born on 12 August 1988. He fights under the nickname “The Gypsy King” and is a British heavyweight boxer.

Career

Fury’s career turned on November 2015, when he beat Wladimir Klitschko to become unified heavyweight champion.

He went on to become WBC heavyweight champion, and fought a trilogy with Deontay Wilder — a draw in 2018, followed by wins in 2020 and 2021. In 2024 he lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk, in the undisputed title fights of May and December 2024.

He announced his fifth retirement in January 2025 after the Usyk rematch, then returned — his comeback fight was against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April 2026. The long-awaited fight against Anthony Joshua is scheduled for late 2026, with a reported £150 million purse to be shared.

How he made his money

Fury’s wealth comes overwhelmingly from boxing. His biggest paydays were the Wilder trilogy, the two Usyk fights — the May 2024 undisputed fight was reportedly worth at least $100 million to Fury — and the 2023 Francis Ngannou fight. Beyond the ring, he has earned from the Netflix series At Home With The Furys and from sponsorships and commercial deals.

The scale of the fortune is backed by company filings: his company Tyson Fury Ltd held assets of over £161 million by September 2024, according to Companies House filings.

Net worth over the years

Fury’s wealth has grown with each of his biggest fights — from the Klitschko win in 2015, through the Wilder trilogy, to the two undisputed fights against Usyk in 2024. The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 puts the figure at £162 million (approximately $216 million). Lower US-based estimates exist — in the $146 million to $173 million range — but the Sunday Times figure is the one to lead with. One outlier estimate of $65 million is out of line with every other source and should not be relied on.

Personal life

Fury has been married to Paris Fury (née Mulroy) since 2008. They have seven children.
